Bachelor’s degree program in International Studies provides fundamental and in-depth knowledge of international research/relations, comprehensive understanding of contexts and structures; expertise in foreign affairs, diplomacy; negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities; maximizes students’ creativity to apply and analyze international issues and events, disseminate knowledge, with a professional, independent, and collaborative work attitude in an international integration environment, serving the career of nation-building and defense.
The curriculum aims to help learners:
- Provide foundational knowledge in basic sciences within the fields of social sciences and behavior.
- Offer specialized knowledge in International Studies, focusing primarily on International Relations.
- Develop professional skills in research, teaching, and practical applications within International Studies, as well as soft skills enabling students to solve practical problems, think critically, work independently, collaborate effectively, demonstrate autonomy, and take responsibility for societal issues.
- Create opportunities for students to pursue further education at the master’s and doctoral levels to become experts in international research, international relations, and international cooperation at universities and research institutes.

6.2. Conditions for graduation recognition
Pursuant to Decision No. 1323/QD-DHTN dated July 28, 2021 of the President of Thai Nguyen University promulgating “Regulations on formal university and college training according to the University’s credit system Thai Nguyen” and Decision No. 174/QD-DHTN dated February 16, 2022 of the President of Thai Nguyen University on promulgating “Regulations on considering and recognizing graduation for students of full-time university training at the International School – Thai Nguyen University”, the conditions for considering graduation recognition for students are as follows:
- At the time of graduation consideration, the student must not be under criminal investigation or disciplinary action leading to suspension.
- Accumulate the required number of course credits for the training program. Students must meet the minimum credit requirement as specified by the program.
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher for the entire course of study.
- Obtain the required language and computer proficiency certificates:
- For foreign language proficiency: students must reach level 4/6 according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework or an equivalent.
- For IT: students are exempt from the IT exit requirement.
- Complete the Physical Education program as stipulated by ISTNU.
- Obtain a National Defense Education certificate (applicable to Vietnamese students only; not applicable to international students).
- Complete the introductory political education course (applicable to Vietnamese students only; not applicable to international students).
- Fulfill all tuition and fee obligations as required by the School.
- Submit the graduation thesis for archiving.
- Submit an application for graduation consideration.
6.3. Career orientation
After graduating, students can perform the following jobs: Research and teach on international issues at universities and research institutes; Doing foreign affairs work at central and local diplomatic agencies, international cooperation departments of ministries, departments, branches, unions, security and defense agencies, media agencies, newspapers; Work in foreign representative agencies, international organizations, domestic and foreign non-governmental organizations, and different types of businesses, especially joint ventures.
To enroll in the program, applicants must have graduated from high school or an equivalent level and possess sufficient foreign language proficiency, as specified below:
Eligible Applicants: Candidates who have graduated from a Vietnamese high school program (either formal education or continuing education) or have graduated from an intermediate level program (in which case, those who have graduated from an intermediate level but do not have a high school diploma must study and pass the required amount of high school cultural knowledge according to the Education Law and its guiding documents) or have graduated from a foreign high school program (approved by the host country, reaching an equivalent level to a Vietnamese high school) either abroad or in Vietnam.
Admission Method and Conditions: Applicable according to the current regulations on university and college admissions issued annually by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Foreign Language Requirement: Students must have an English proficiency level of at least 4.5 IELTS or equivalent to be eligible to enroll in the program. If students do not meet the English requirement, they must undertake a one-year English preparatory course at the International Faculty to acquire the necessary knowledge and meet the program’s foreign language requirements.

- The training program is implemented under the university training regulations of the regular system according to the current credit system of the Ministry of Education and Training and Thai Nguyen University.
Learning hours are calculated as follows:
1 credit =15 hours of theory instruction or class discussion
= 30 hours of experimentation or practice
= 30 hours of self-study
= 45 -90 hours of internship at the facility.
= 45 -60 hours of project implementation, graduation thesis.
The number of hours for the course is a multiple of 15.
- The foreign language output standards are decided by the Science and Training Comittee of the International School at the beginning of the enrollment courses. 6.3. Conditions for graduation recognition
Pursuant to Decision No. 1323/QD-DHTN dated July 28, 2021 of the President of Thai Nguyen University promulgating “Regulations on formal university and college training according to the University’s credit system Thai Nguyen” and Decision No. 174/QD-DHTN dated February 16, 2022 of the President of Thai Nguyen University on promulgating “Regulations on considering and recognizing graduation for students of full-time university training at the International School – Thai Nguyen University”, the conditions for considering graduation recognition for students are as follows:
- At the time of graduation consideration, the student must not be under criminal investigation or disciplinary action leading to suspension.
- Accumulate the required number of course credits for the training program. Students must meet the minimum credit requirement as specified by the program.
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher for the entire course of study.
- Obtain the required language and computer proficiency certificates:
- For foreign language proficiency: students must reach level 4/6 according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework or an equivalent.
- For IT: students are exempt from the IT exit requirement.
- Complete the Physical Education program as stipulated by ISTNU.
- Obtain a National Defense Education certificate (applicable to Vietnamese students only; not applicable to international students).
- Complete the introductory political education course (applicable to Vietnamese students only; not applicable to international students).
- Fulfill all tuition and fee obligations as required by the School.

- Data Management Specialist Data analysts take raw information, process, analyze, and transform it into valuable insights for businesses. These insights primarily help companies improve the quality of customer service experiences.
- Financial Analyst Financial analysts help a company understand market trends and opportunities based on provided or self-sourced information. Generally, a degree in accounting or finance is required for this role.
- User Experience (UX) / User Interface (UI) Designer UX designers and UI designers determine how a software application will look and function from a customer’s perspective. The applications must be easy to use and navigate to maximize user engagement.
- Business Development Manager A business development manager oversees and ensures the growth of the entire FinTech business at every stage, from development to launch. Their role is to ensure both the product’s success and the overall financial profitability.
- Admission Requirements
To enroll in the program, applicants must have graduated from high school or an equivalent level and possess sufficient foreign language proficiency, as specified below:
Eligible Applicants: Candidates who have graduated from a Vietnamese high school program (either formal education or continuing education) or have graduated from an intermediate level program (in which case, those who have graduated from an intermediate level but do not have a high school diploma must study and pass the required amount of high school cultural knowledge according to the Education Law and its guiding documents) or have graduated from a foreign high school program (approved by the host country, reaching an equivalent level to a Vietnamese high school) either abroad or in Vietnam.
Admission Method and Conditions: Applicable according to the current regulations on university and college admissions issued annually by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Foreign Language Requirement: Students must have an English proficiency level of at least 4.5 IELTS or equivalent to be eligible to enroll in the program. If students do not meet the English requirement, they must undertake a one-year English preparatory course at the International Faculty to acquire the necessary knowledge and meet the program’s foreign language requirements.

Guideline to implement and organize program
- The training program is implemented under the university training regulations of the regular system according to the current credit system of the Ministry of Education and Training and Thai Nguyen University.
Learning hours are calculated as follows:
1 credit = 15 hours of theory instruction or class discussion
= 30 hours of experimentation or practice
= 30 hours of self-study
= 45 – 90 hours of internship at the facility.
= 45 – 60 hours of project implementation, graduation thesis.
The number of hours for the course is a multiple of 15.
- The foreign language ELO(s) are decided by the Science and Training Comittee of the International School at the beginning of the enrollment courses. During the study period, the school will control the development of students’ foreign language proficiency through each academic year to decide the number of credits and courses for the semester that students are allowed to register.

+ Method 3: English requirements – students having achieved a minimum band score of 4.5 IELTS (or equivalent following towards the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training) or completed a preparatory language training course at the International Faculty – Thai Nguyen University.

- General objective
Training Bachelor’s degree at university level in basic knowledge and comprehensive expertise, applying information technology to the business field; have morals, political qualities, good health, meet the requirements of national construction and defense; Ability to work independently, creatively and problem-solve business decisions based on practice and analyze business contexts in an international environment.
- Specific Objectives
Graduated students achieving knowledge, skills and competence:
- a) Knowledge
– Achieving comprehensive professional knowledge including general knowledge, industry knowledge, accounting majors, accounting and finance majors: accumulate basic knowledge, natural and social laws relating to accounting and finance, proficiency in theoretical knowledge of accounting and finance; deeply understanding about accounting laws and techniques for analyzing information, planning, and designing information into management reports with a view to contribute decision-making in domestic and international working environments.
- b) Skills
Utilizing theoretical knowledge to totalize, evaluate data and information; applying science and technology achievements to tackle problems relating to accounting and finance;
Proficiency of English at a good communication level, specifically reading and clarifying documents about accounting and finance, expertise exchanging, documentative wording expression, and personal point of view explanation.
