ADMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The International School, a member of Thai Nguyen University (IS-TNU), is state academic institution and mandated to implement undergraduate programs in the fields of management, economics, life sciences, social sciences and international relations the through the so-called Advanced Education Programs whose curricula were imported from Manchester Metropolitan University and De Montfort University, two of the leading universities in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island.
Currently, IS-TNU is offering International Business, Business Administration, Business Analysis, Finance and Accounting, Environmental Science and Sustainability to nearly 600 students, among those more than 80 are foreign students coming from the Philippines, Myanmar, Timor Leste, Laos, Nigeria, Ghana and Mozambique. English language is employed as the main medium of instruction and more than 30% of the subjects are taught by international professors coming from the USA, Germany, Australia, Korea… Further, IS-TNU students study in classrooms fully equipped with air-conditioners, smart and interactive TV, projector, computer, free WIFI… . Students who successfully complete the programs are conferred with bachelor degrees by the President of Thai Nguyen University.
I. Eligibility:
To be accepted as a foreign student of IS-TNU, applicant must:

Have good health and physically fit to pursue his/her study abroad;

Have graduated from a senior high school;
|
4 |
Be fluent in English language (If English is not your first language (i.e. is not the first language you learned at home as a child), you will need to provide evidence of adequate English facility for admission consideration, unless you qualify for an exemption.);

Have NO criminal history;

II. Required Documents
1.Completed application form;
2. Statement of study purpose/study plan;
3. Certified true copies of high school transcript and diploma;
4. Two letters of recommendation signed by two different referees;
5. A certified true copy of applicant’s passport (bio page) which has at least 2- year validity;
6. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, etc).
7. Health certificate issued within 6 months from the date of application by competent health authorities of the sending country or by Vietnamese central, municipal or provincial medical bodies, clearly stating that the applicant is healthy and fit for overseas study;
8. Financial statements of at least 1,500USD to support the study and living in Vietnam by authorized financial institutions;
9. Curriculum Vitae;
10. Nomination letter from home institution (if applicable);
11. 4 passport-sized photos taken within 6 months prior to the date of application.

VI. Fees and Scholarships
5.1. Fees:

5.2. Scholarships:
The Evaluation Committee of IS-TNU will review application documents of the applicants and decided the scholarship types:

Remarks: From the second year, scholarships are awarded based on the academic performance and achievement in the preceding semester of the students.
VII. Study options
Applicants may choose to study:
a). Four years (full time) of the courses in Viet Nam (The degree will be conferred by the President of Thai Nguyen University.)
b). 2 years in Viet Nam and 2 year in the UK (The degree will be conferred by Manchester Metropolitan University and De Montfort University)
Remarks: Scholarship is not applicable when the students choose to study the final 2 year in the UK
