ISTNU Delegation Visits the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam

On September 22, 2025, a delegation from the International School – Thai Nguyen University (ISTNU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hà Xuân Linh, Dean of ISTNU, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Vietnam. The visit was organized in celebration of the 65th anniversary of Vietnam–Cuba diplomatic relations (1960–2025).

The delegation, including Vice Dean MSc. Trần Lưu Hùng and international students from Cuba, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Vietnam, was warmly welcomed by H.E. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Vietnam, and Mrs. Maylem Rivero Silva, Minister Counsellor for Trade and Economy.

During the meeting, both sides recalled the long-standing friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba, discussed opportunities for academic collaboration, student exchange, and scholarships. The Ambassador highly valued the achievements of Thai Nguyen University and ISTNU, especially its English-taught programs that attract students from 16 countries. He also expressed his commitment to connecting Cuban institutions with ISTNU for future cooperation and invited TNU to attend the 15th International Congress on Higher Education (Universidad 2026) in Havana.

On this occasion, ISTNU presented a donation of 10 million VND to support the Cuban people, affirming the school’s solidarity and friendship.
